Drowned in oblivion

Pierre-Yves Vandeweerd & 71' — 2006

“DROWNED IN OBLIVION” has the ambition, on Africans political prisoners – locked up between 1986 and 1991 in Oualata’s jail – accounts base, to show and to help understanding what the banishment from Mauritania means. In the shape of a trip inside the prisons, this movie is more than a story in a place and at a time given to become something universal, to become the voice of all those who, one day, somewhere in the word, have been deprived of freedom for political reasons.
