Six years ago, we made a film about a nomadic hunter family in the South-east of Mauritania. They were called the “Nemadis”. At the time, there remained no more than sixteen of them who had continued to live solely by hunting. Eli Salem and Abidine were the two chiefs of the family and we had promised to come back and show them the film. Six years later we took to the road in an effort to find them again, with no idea of what became of them. This film documents our search throughout Mauritania, our eventual reunion with the nomadic hunters and the showing of our previous film. Primarily, this is a film about a way of life that is destined to disappear.
