Monique Quintart was born in Brussels in 1949 and is still living there.
She started studying germanic languages, before switching to journalism (ULB) and film, radio and television direction (INSAS).
Her films, mostly all documentary, have a wide scope of subjects : prisoners’ wives ; inhabitants of the European part of the city ; artists’ work (Pascaline Wollast, Myriam Mallié, Berthe Morisot, …) ; the Ancient Art Museum in Brussels with its past curator, Lucie Ninane ; the double culture of a belgo-tuareg young man ; a Brussels street movie ; …
She is also co-founder of Le P’tit Ciné, an association dedicated to documentaries’ diffusion.
She received in 2017 a prize of SCAM-Belgium for her work.
