Laurence Grun is a Belgian filmmaker and journalist, with a background in photography, journalism, and political science. Her projects, always approached from a social and environmental perspective, question the ways of world-making and explore the impact of industrialization on territories and living beings.

She contributed to the writing, research, and production of DREMMWEL, an augmented-narrative documentary on intensive fishing in the Eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean. She later co-directed Bargny, Here Begins the Emergence, a transmedia documentary analyzing the environmental and social consequences of major redevelopment projects in Senegal, as well as [P2O5], The Toxic Impact of Phosphate, a long-term investigation carried out in Tunisia, Senegal, France, Spain, and Belgium on the production and use of phosphate-based chemical fertilizers.

Laurence Grun also collaborates with numerous media outlets, including Tchak, Médiapart, DOC! Photo Magazine, Equal Times, Reporterre, African Arguments, Alter Echos, and Lundi Matin, to ensure the dissemination and impact of her documentary projects.
