Formerly a teacher, Jean Marc Turine was a producer at France Culture. He is particularly known for his recordings. An intimate friend of Marguerite Duras, whom he met on the set of Jaune le soleil, he co-directed with her and Jean Mascolo, Les Enfants, released in 1985. He is the producer and director, in collaboration with Jean Mascolo, of several documentary films of historical, literary or societal nature, notably devoted to Robert Antelme or the group of rue Saint-Benoît. He is also a producer for RTBF and he contributed to the actions of Collectif Manifestement.
