Vozar

Miléna Bochet & 26' — 2001

In the small gypsy community of Hermanovce, Vozar is respected for his age and famous for his story telling. He manages program broadcasts at the television station and also repairs actual televisions, and pull the plug out when “Esmeralda” comes on. Vozar likes to blur the television screen in order to immerse his people in the world of stories. Then, suddenly, around a fire, the on-screen Mexican actors are replaced by the spirits, the sweet mothers and the malicious dwarfs chase the heroines away, the dead are resurrected and old people grow younger. Then the imaginary world blends with reality.
