The wall of Taniperla

Dominique Berger & 52' — 1999

Three Belgian Human Rights observers, drawn by the appeal of Mexico’s Zapatista Indians and the writing of their spokesman, Sub-Comander Marcos, discover the reality of a people oppressed for 500 years. Three Belgians suddenly find themselves physically and emotionally implicated in events of which they had been thus far only comfortable witnesses. This story of a shattered dream and of hope that turns into tragedy, demonstrates that we are all concerned by the struggle of the Mexican Indians… against the power of money… and for the right to be different.
