A pioneering psychoanalyst in Iran, Mitra Kadivar was arrested and committed involuntarily to a psychiatric hospital in her country. Through the creative process of a contemporary opera dedicated to Mitra, Jorge León constructs a precise mechanism of portraits, spaces and memories of patients in an attempt to understand the meaning of the absolute loneliness of being declared mentally ill.
