Farid is thirty-two years old. Former rowdy and rogue Red Skin, he is a survivor of the high of the 70s and 80s. It was in drugs and revolt that he lived his beautiful second generation Algerian youth, in the Parisian suburbs. Suffering from AIDS, he lives today in the irremediable, like a suspended prisoner … “Hamsa” (or “hamça”). Dialectal Arabic term. Means a state of mind that obsesses you, gnaws at you and tortures you and ends up giving you “the balls”, the fire in the stomach and, in all words, “the rage in the belly”.
