Laure Portier was born in 1983 in the Deux-Sèvres region. After a degree in Modern Literature in Toulouse and a year at the ESAV, she joined the INSAS in Brussels in the Image section. After graduating, she became a camera assistant and worked on feature films. In 2019, she presents her first short film, Dans L’œil du Chien, winner of the Short Film Prize at the Cinéma du réel festival. Soy Libre is her first feature film.
