Gwendolyn Lootens (BE) is a documentary filmmaker and a visual artist. She studied fine arts at LUCA Ghent and audiovisual arts at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam followed by a Master Documentary at RITCS in Brussels. She participated in several art residencies and exhibitions, amongst others at WIELS contemporary art center. ‘me miss me’ is her debut feature documentary film. Also she is co-founder and coordinator of Cinemaximiliaan*, a cinema platform run by and with newcomers. Lubnan Al Wazny (IQ) worked as a shoemaker and as a soldier in Iraq before he came to Belgium in 2015. He is an active volunteer at Cinemaximiliaan since the very beginning. For this film he picked up a camera for the first time in his life.
