Bertrand Lissoir

Bertrand Lissoir is a Belgian director… Well, half Austrian too… And it has to be said he grew up few kilometers from the French border. Passionate about pictures, at 19 he enrolled a higher school of arts where he made incomprehensible videos to his parents great despair. He then went on to study film direction at the film school INSAS which did nothing to help reassure his family. Twenty years later, he has directed the short LOST RABBIT. In the interim, he directed hundreds of TV programmes, video installations for theatre and dance, led photo and video workshops, directed one documentary (The internat) and assisted numerous directors, including Nicolas Guiot on The Lobster’s Cry which won a César and a Magritte award in 2013. Twenty years is both a long and a short time!
