« What’s in a name » studies the use of language and its implications on how we perceive and conceive the world around us. As part of a ‘philosophy workshop’ involving pupils from various infant and junior schools, children between the ages of 4 & 11 have been questioning the relationship between words and the things they describe. Using the children’s own words this film forces us to reflect upon the rapport between ‘words’ and ‘reality’ and the link between ‘words’ and ‘thought’.
