On that day, they’ll be different people. It’s as simple as that: one will win, and one will loose. And yet they have so many things in common. They’re the same age, they burn for the same thing, they share the same hope and the same expectations. They’re willing to give what it takes. They’ve decided to be professional boxers. In boxing, winning a fight means you’ve taken a step up on the ladder of success. But if you loose, it’s back to rung number one. That day, the day of the fight, can make or break you. It’s serious business… and yet it’s only a sport. A young boxer with aspirations to a world title will first need to make his mark at the IBF Intercontinental championship. Belgian-Guinean fighter Bea Diallo and French boxer Pascal Mercier started the day as contenders with the same chances to win the vacant middle-weight title. On the dawn of that decisive day neither was better than the other. Shot in one day this film focuses on the implacable harshness of the world of boxing while stressing the dignity and courage of the two young fighters. They are living in a world of violence, but both of them are willing to take their chances… on the day of the fight.
