I started walking for my own pleasure a long time ago and it is while walking that I came across Johan Van den Eynde. Together, in 1995, we discovered the Highlands of Papoua and it was a wonderful journey. Subsequently, we came together for other journeys and have covered many miles since then. When I expressed my wish to make a film about walking, Johan suggested that we go back there. We set off with the bare essentials, relying on the odds along the road to make our way. 6 June 2001, on the 26th day of your march, we got abbucted by warriors of the Organisation for the liberation of Papoua. This film is the story of those travel days before our captivity.
