Five of the most famous Arthur Rimbaud’s sonnets were probably written during his second fugue, from Charleville-Mezieres in France to Charleroi in Belgium in October 1870. Following his career and comparing texts with the landscape and its inhabitants, the film paints a portrait of the Meuse valley and the country of Charleroi, questioning the wonders, nostalgia and disasters crossed by Rimbaud.
