During the 1930s in fascist Italy, the habitants of Borgo, were pushed by the misery, as well as, the spirit of adventure. They emigrated to the Italian colonies in Africa to look for Eldorado promised by their government’s propaganda. Soon after the war and fall of the fascist regime lead to the loss of the colonies, which forced them to return to Italy, after having lost everything. Their words, memories, writings, and photos from witnesses, reveals to us a killed speech.
