It’s summer, in the countryside of northeast Italy. Giacomo is a deaf boy of nineteen years old. One day, with Stefania, her childhood friend, they go to the river to have a picnic. The two youngsters deviate so much from the beaten track that they end up getting lost. They will find themselves alone and free for an afternoon that could last an entire summer. Sensuality accompanies children’s games until Stefania and Giacomo only realize that the adventure they have just experienced together is nothing but the bitter sweet memory of an already lost time.
