L'enfant do

Didier Lannoy & 26' — 1986

L’enfant do is a journey to the « land of sleep » from the moment the child is born until the age of 15. Structured as an educational fiction with children in the leading parts, L’enfant do introduces us to the mysterious world of sleep which is more than a third from a child’s existence. It’s normal as well as abnormal manifestations are still a mystery for many people. This video-picture for adults but also for children leads to a better understanding of the genera sleep mechanisms as applied to children and of the possible side-effects (insomnia, sleepwalking, nocturnal fears, urination…). Its main aim is to de-dramatise and to overcome a certain type of situations which are often badly handled by families while preventing them from using noxious medicine in great quantity, thus enabling the families to discover other more realistic alternatives.
