Republic of Weimar, Third Reich, War, Socialisme, Reunification…The film is a journey into history; in the one of Germany, in the one of my grandparents and in mine. Filmed in different areas which once had importance in the history of Germany or of my family; historical facts and personal witnesses, above all those of my grandfather on my mother side (the only one alive of that generation of my family), as well as contmplative landscape sequences of a rather photographic language are put side by side.
