Sonia Pastecchia studied acting at INSAS.
Isla (2001) is her first film. Portraits of men of different generations talking about freedom and happiness in Cuba.
In 2008, she directed Campo Santo, a journey between Belgium and her parents’ native village in Italy, where she meets new emigrants.
Actress-lecturer (coaching apprentice directors) at Insas since 1998. Theater workshops (language camps, theater and dance classes.) Facilitator of a French-language theater class in a Flemish school, adapted from G. De Maupassant’s novel “Boule de suif. Leader and director of a theater project with a Cuban troupe: “Los Elementos”, a North-South exchange project organized by the NGO Quinoa.
Sonia Pastecchia has a wide range of professional experience, as an assistant director, actress, dubbing and voice-over artist, translator and teacher.
